The project establishes the value of the pollution parameters presented by the wastewater produced by the Belver de Cinca population over a 25-year horizon, while defining a treatment line capable of reducing pollutant values.
This treatment plant will serve a maximum expected population of 2,600 inhabitants, although the current census is 1,418 inhabitants. In order to know the nature of the discharges of this town, the Diputación de Huesca has carried out three analysis campaigns during the period from 2001 to 2002 to delimit the field of action.
The urban helmet of the locality of Belver counts at present on the services of supply, distribution of water and discharge solved from the decade of years 60 with the construction of a series of infrastructures that did not solve the treatment of the residual waters produced, and that since then they are spilled into the channel of the Cinca River without any purification treatment.
This initiative is part of the program of collaboration signed by the Diputación de Huesca and the Government of Aragon for the construction of sewage treatment plants in the province of Aragon with the contribution of European funds.
Recall that it is the third action in matters of water purification contracted by the provincial institution. In 2004, work began on the Albalate de Cinca and Tamarite de Litera plants with an investment of over 2.3 million euros.
